IMGC Edible Oils

The Group established a new unit in 2010 at a total cost of PKR 910 Million with 100% equity. The Plant “Oil World Pvt. Ltd” is situated in the port city of Karachi and is one of the major producers of Edible Oil. The unit is capable of producing 1.8 Million MT Edible Oil annually. Within a short span of one year, the unit has sales turnover of PKR 2.3 Million with a workforce of 181 employees.

Oil World manufactures Vegetable Ghee &Cooking Oils at 250 Metric Ton per day and Solvent Extraction Plant Capacity of Seeds Crushing 150 Metric Ton per day. IMGC further aims to expand the unit’s capacity by manufacturing Oleo Chemical Processing Unit within the plant. This will cater for the demand of cosmetic and confectionery industries of Pakistan.

The plant is strategically located at Port Qasim (Karachi), where over 75 percent of the raw material, used in the industry, is imported and flows all over Pakistan. The advantage of reduced freight costs, growth of plant has been phenomenal. IMGC is engaged in adding modern facilities to the Karachi port for the quicker distribution of material to the industry.


The plant is producing following products under the brand names of SHAMA, BARKAT and BACHAT:

  • VEGETABLE GHEE in various packing of 16, 5 and 2.5 Kg Tins and 1 Kg, ½ kg and ¼ kg Polyethylene Pouches.
  • COOKING OIL in various packing of 5 and 2½liters in tins and 1 Liter, ½ Liter and ¼ Liter Polyethylene Pouches. It is also produced in 10Liters Plastic Can.
